About Banyan Bell

Banyan Bell offers personalized audio bedtime stories drawn from Indian heritage, made for children ages 3–8 in Indian families around the world.

The idea started at bedtime. I'm Nishanth Ulhas Nair, a father living in the United States. I grew up on the Ramayana and Panchatantra stories that my parents told me at bedtime, and I wanted the same warmth for my children: familiar names, familiar mountains, familiar gods. Not screen time, not slick apps, just a voice they could listen to under the covers, and a story that connects them to where they come from.

Every Banyan Bell story is written from traditional sources, reviewed line by line by a human for cultural authenticity and age-appropriateness, and recorded in a warm narrator voice. We weave your child into the story, not as the deity, not fighting the demon, but as a friend on the mountain, a witness to the wonder, a small hero in a bigger tale.

We're small and independent. No investors, no ads, no data harvesting. Just careful stories, made for one child at a time.
